About Us

We took over the Bridge Inn at the start of 2010. We have a clear vision for what we are trying to achieve: a friendly pub, with a warm welcome, and delicious home-cooked food. Wherever possible we use seasonal, Scottish, fresh, local produce, and everything is freshly prepared. We grow our own herbs and vegetables (we are currently using our own rhubarb in the kitchen). We have a small herd of saddleback pigs, and shortly we will be featuring hand-reared pork chops on the menu.

We have put together a wine list which includes our personal favourites, some delicious new wines we have recently discovered, and a range of house wines which are so good we have put our own Bridge Inn wine label on them. We are also fortunate to have a great range of breweries in Scotland (and elsewhere) and we have three different guest ales on tap throughout the summer.

We have spent time living in different parts of the UK, and in Australia, and we have seen many great pubs and restaurants which mix great beer, friendly staff, a smile and good food. We want to bring all this together in the Bridge inn.

We have three children, growing up fast, who tell us what they like and don’t like about places to eat out – and as parents we know that a happy child makes for a happy meal.

Whether you are local, or from Edinburgh, from elsewhere in Scotland, or visiting from further afield; whether you want somewhere for a quick pint, or a glass of wine; whether you want a romantic dinner, or a place to enjoy with family and friends, or a great place for a traditional Sunday lunch; whatever the reason, we look forward to welcoming you to the Bridge Inn soon.
