Our historic barge sails regularly, for anyone wanting to enjoy being served lunch, tea or dinner aboard whilst watching the world float peacefully by.

We can also help you create a unique eventon one of barges.  In the past we have catered for birthdays, weddings, corporate events, team meetings, murder mystery nights, drinks parties and many other types of events.  We can either offer Ratho to Ratho cruises or we can arrange to pick you up at Fountainbridge in Edinburgh and you head west to Ratho, or in reverse, you can begin your cruise at the Bridge Inn and end up in the centre of Edinburgh.

Most weekends we run at least one cruise either for an evening cruise or for a lunch cruise for individuals who wish to just book a table or two.  These cruises cost £27.50 per person (£16.50 for under 12’s).  This includes a 3 course meal, cooked freshly for you on board by our chef, whilst you cruise gently up the Union Canal.  You cruise west along to the Almondell Aqueduct whilst you enjoy your starter and main course, passing the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena and Clifton Hall School.  You then have an opportunity to get off the barge and enjoy the spectacular views before returning to Ratho over your pudding and coffee.
